Software Test and Validation Engineer,
Eurotherm Process Automation, Southdownview Way, Worthing

Co-ordinating the testing of new software and process control instruments. This requires regular fault finding, liaison with software developers and customer services, investigating known faults, creation of test specifications and creation test systems.

Installation and configuration of the personal computer systems; requiring ongoing telephone and personal support. This includes fault finding, instructing the operators in the use of computers and maintaining the personal computers.
Overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the materials testing laboratory.

Responsibilities included the assembly of earth fault indicators, involving the testing and correction of faulty items. This position included soldering the final components on circuit boards, encapsulation of the boards in resin, final assembly of the indicators and customising the indicators to individual requirements.

Instigated and installed an easily accessible networked computerised stock control system active from July 1989. Installed and maintained a small workgroup computer network.
Responsibilities included the servicing, testing and repair of goods, maintenance of the stock control system and customer service. Organisation and implementation of delivery orders; requiring an in depth knowledge of the company practices, goods and services.
