The Autohomes Karisma was the top of the range at the time (see original brochure). Based on a VW 1.6 diesel Transporter, it's very cheap to run, doing about 55 miles per gallon, gets up big hills (we live on one), averages 60-65 mph on the motorway and is also very good around town.

The Karismas were all 2 berth, which means there's big cupboard above the bed where the higher bunk would be on a 4 berth model. There's also room for a roof rack at the back too, which is great for an awning or camping chairs.

As you can see from the brochure, the Karisma was the luxury model. Take a look inside to see some of the features. We still have all the instructions for the conversion and appliances.

It's been very well maintained, and we have a notebook with work carried out and a record of fuel used by the previous owner, which we have continued. We also have most of the original receipts.
