Summary: Frank Burnside looks back after the death of his mentor
Notes: References to the Professionals ep. Private Madness Public Danger and to The Bill ep. Sleeping with the Enemy but nothing that could really be thought of as a spoiler. OK so I made one little change in a character name but since I don't believe it's actually spoken in the ep I figured I could. There are places where it's not very PC either but neither were the late '60's. I think this is my favourite story of all those I've written.
