What does Fernsy drink?

Harvey's. All the time if I can get my hands on it. (Well, not all the time). This independent, Lewes-based brewery (unfortunately with consequented limited range) does some of the most distinctive beers. I've heard the taste described as metallic - I've described it as metallic myself, way back when beer was new to the palate and Guinness reminded me of coffee. I drink in the Preston Brewery Tap regularly (have done since I was, well, *almost* 18, your honour) and, having had extensive knowledge of some fine beers since then, can safely say that none lends itself to regular swigging so much as this beer: TRY IT - YOU MIGHT LIKE IT!!! I'm truly in awe of the brewery that produces not only this, but the range of beers to be found at the Lord Nelson (Trafalgar Street, Brighton), a pub that I'd like to live closer to. Armada Ale just sails down your throat. The dark mild (hand-pumped) is wonderful for a tight budget. Harvey's Old will warm up those winter evenings (mind you, it's about 15 years since we had winter anyway) like nothing else I know, and the other seasonal beers they keep coming out with are almost enough to keep me in Britain all year round. They even produced a beer for my mother's primary school (St. Pancras, Lewes) once, and I was sorry to miss the by-product of the floods which I'm told was corking. So next time you wander into downtown Brighton/ Lewes/ Prague/ Halifax, NS/ Lázaro Cárdenas/ Mercury, demand a pint of this nectar of the gods.

I e-mailed Harvey's brewery, and invited them to visit and comment on this website, but I heard nothing back at all, not even a confirmation or a thank you. Did you know that if you found this site interesting, you could always e-mail webmaster@harveys.org.uk ,  and cut and paste the URL for this page into the message, and recommend them this site. Thanks, Fernsy.
