THREE WEDNESDAYS IN LENT
On Wednesday 21 March we shall be inviting all those of you who lead different parts of the Eucharist (musicians, readers, intercessors, servers, eucharistic ministers etc) to come to St Mary's, Aldingbourne, for an opportunity to reflect together on the ministry that we share.  The evening will begin at 7.30 pm, and we hope that it will be an opportunity for us all to increase our awareness of the important part that we all play in this supreme act of Christian worship.
On Wednesday 28 March we invite you all to come to St Mary's, Barnham, at 7.30 pm, to learn about the customs of Holy Week, and in particular the meaning of the Easter Triduum - the three holy days which begin on the evening of Maundy Thursday and conclude on Easter Sunday.  The rich variety of worship during the Triduum provides us with wonderful opportunities to enter into the mystery of Christ's Passion and Resurrection.  Come and increase your understanding of this most holy season.
On Wednesday 4 April, the Wednesday of Holy Week, we invite you all to come and watch Mel Gibson's film, 'The Passion of the Christ', at Eastergate School, starting at 7.30 pm.  Some of you will already have watched this powerful and graphic depiction of Our Lord's sufferings; some of you may have felt that you would prefer not to see it.  But the fact remains that it is an immensely powerful and sincere attempt to make Jesus' Passion real for us in the 21st century, and few people who have seen it have remained unmoved.  Do come and join us and, if possible, bring your friends with you.  The evening will close with a short time of prayer and will conclude by 9.45 pm.
