An effective antidote to stress is to realise our predicament.

We are stressed or bothered or whatever when we feel we
are; we can worry ourselves by 'knowing' what will or ought
to happen and trying too hard to make it. Every experience
of stress is valid - it's all we have to go on.

Being stressed is frightening; yet it's a warning of trouble.

If we're being chased by a tiger we are in real trouble

If however the threat is closer home we may not be aware of the danger we are in; to know how we feel do SoreFeelings

Three aspects of being stressed.

    a. too much to do, more than we handle or cope with,

    b. we are clumsy and not in control of ourselves

    c. we lack social support and feel alienated

and most important  stress is relative, not a fixed state.

Like it or not we feel
inadequate when we
are stressed; but it's not permanent.

Antidote to stress is to realise we are functioning
people and what we bring to life is good;  with new
confidence we regulate the load we carry, make
new friends and get in control of our own lives.
.
Developing new resourcefulness from our stressed feelings.

Since we are 'imperfect judges of our internal state' we don't easily recognise when we move into (what is for us) a stressful situation and all too easily take stimulants to get through; using Sorefeelings we can sense what's coming and avoid the danger; or if we deem it appropriate to go into that situation and at least be intelligent about the risk we run.

We can see stress as our inability to sort it out, another sense of inadequacy..but what to do about it?
